Built 1975 (current building)
The building before you was designed as the base building of a cliff-climbing development that would feature a tramway that would ascend across the sloped roof to the higher up spaces. It was never completed be the developer, who placed the blame on local government, who was charging exorbitant fees for parking to developers. Today, the inside space of the building is open to the natural cliff wall and stops visitors in their tracks as they gaze on this innovative design. Designed and built by Dr James Durward at the same time (1975) as the companion buildings across Elkhorn Ave. Check out 239 for more details (below).
